Member Survey 2018 -Preliminary Analysis

In general members feel welcome in the club with opportunities to contribute their skills to make a difference in the community.
Club meetings are well received with the quality and diversity of speakers deserving note.
Feedback on the degree and format of communication to club members also rates highly.
Members strongly support fund raising activities.

Philippines Mission Report

Rotary Club of Illawarra Sunrise and partners has  returned from another successful Rotary International Project to the Philippines.

Armed with a budget of $18,000 to purchase medical supplies and other needs the Rotary Club completed its 11th trip in February 2018 when 12 Rotary members and friends of Rotary returned from the Island of Negros after providing much needed medical and dental support.

President Brian’s Report : 3 November, 2014

 Halloween at TAFE on Wednesday evening was to be enjoyed by all who attended and there was a good roll out. Thirty six members and their guests were treated to a three course meal with wine, beer or soft drink in a dining room dripping with cob webs and all sorts of other spooky stuff.  Bloodless mocktails were served to all, which added to the evening. Well done TAFE.

Fig Tree Hospital Visit

Paul welcomed the club to the hospital and gave a brief summary of its history. Withe the building of the new Private hospital Fig Tree is creating a centre of excellence for Rehabilitation in the Illawarra. Paul invited some of his staff to talk about there functions

New Member induction – Paul McKenna

Welcome to Paul McKenna who was inducted into Illawarra Sunrise Rotary this Friday. Paul is CEO of Fig Tree Hospital and got off to a great start in Rotary by hosting an excellent Vocational Visit with a wonderful breakfast provided. I am sure all members will join me in welcoming Paul and eagerly await his next offer to contribute to the club

President’s Report no 5 : President Brian

Last week was a light week with only emails and no meetings to attend. Included in the emails was one to Andrew Griffiths about the Nordonfelt Gun. I will advise members of the current situation as soon as I get a reply.  I have also been busy trying to get members to say whether they are coming to Figtree Private Hospital or not.  At this late stage I have only half of our members responding….
