Last Monday, the handing out of the cheques took place. The selected charities were nominated by each of the 5 Rotary Clubs of the upper Illawarra. The money came from the event managers of Wings over the Illawarra, Kerry and Mark Bright. The Bright’s have been generous to Rotary for a number of years. June and July are the changeover months. Monday 29th May was Rotary Club of Fairy Meadows Presentation night. The Presentation dinner was held at Collegians Club at Balgownie. President Jenny Godin will continue as President of the club for the next 12 months and this Rotary year will share the presidency with Rotarian Beverly Reardon. Ride4Rotary was held on a beautiful day as the sun shone. It was a warm day and little wind. There were a number of Rotarians thereto support the event. Last Wednesday, 17th May was a busy day. John Bilboe had organised a packing day at his home. Stephen and I were joined by Rotarians from Rotary Club of Glenhaven as we sorted and packed boxes with electronic goods.
