The Gala Cinema in Warrawong hosted the early release of the movie “Murder on the Orient Express” for Rotary on Wednesday 8 November where we had 13 Members and Partners from our club attend. The night seemed to be very successful with the attendance figures, the finger food provided by members and the film. Congratulations to the organisers of this event.
The figures for our club attendance at the combined meeting to be held on Wednesday 22 November were only four people, which I must say is poor support for this initiative. We cancelled our meeting of the 24 November to attend this combined meeting but only two or three members are attending.
Our working bee at the Battery attracted Peter Hill and myself so with just two there was little work carried out. It is almost to the point where we will not be able to clean up the Battery before Australia Day.
Race Day is almost upon us but it is progressing well with another meeting Thursday 16 November at 6.00pm to wrap the prizes for the following Saturday.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 8 December 2017 so to assist that meeting a circular was sent calling for nominations for Board Positions to fill the year 2018/19. A Nomination Form was attached to that circular. A returning Officer will be elected to receive those completed forms next Friday.
