President’s report – 11th to 16th November

What a great week, that passed so quickly with our Race Day  a big part of the week.
Wednesday night was prize wrapping night and sorting those prizes into auction or silent auction categories, $10 or $20 prizes.  It was pleasing to see good quality prizes and thank you to the club members who provided them. Thank you to Elaine, Betsy, Bernie, Di, Collette, Tony and Peter Hill for your help.
Following the prize wrapping we shared a BBQ and just a few drinks and made plans for delivery of the prizes the following day to Kembla Grange.  Again, thank you to Elaine, Isla, Stephen, Wynn, John Bilboe Michael who between them helped fetch, load and unload carry and arrange the prizes on the tables ready for Race Day.
Elaine will hold a ‘wash up’ session in the next few weeks.  It will be great to have some positive feedback as it helps to develop our Race Day for next Year.  Stay tuned for further announcements regarding this ‘wash up’ session.

Fridays meet was well attended.  It was the Philippines mission team meeting and we had Myra and several visiting Rotarians from the Glen Haven were in attendance.  Rotarian Hans Rupp from Rotary Club of Glen Haven was our guest speaker and John Bilboe welcomed and introduced Hans to the meeting.

Christmas Raffle to date has been going well.  The Race Day was a strong success as 12 complete raffle books and 4 partially sold books.  Friday was another good day at Wollongong Mall and thank you to the team.  Harvey Norman was steady on the Sunday and thank you to Tony and Bernadette.
