President’s Report for week ending June 24th 2016

Last Monday Night, I had the opportunity to tag along to a Vocational visit by the Rotary Club of Wollongong South to the Offices of Lifeline in the Wollongong CBD. It was a most informative evening as CEO Grahame Gould and his senior staff provided a unique snapshot into the incredible challenges faced by the Organisation and the work done by Lifeline and their team of volunteer Telephone Support Counsellors. Graham would be delighted to host a Breakfast Vocational visit for Sunrise Rotary and I’ve passed on details to incoming Vocational Director Lee Furness who is keen to make it happen.
As this is my final President’s report for the weekly newsletter and website, if you are unable to make it along to the Changeover Lunch this Sunday, can I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and hard work for the Club during the last 12 months. It was greatly appreciated and I know that you will give your incoming President, Peter Rixon all the help and assistance he requires to continue to ensure that the Rotary Club of Illawarra Sunrise remains the pre-eminent Rotary Club in the Illawarra.
I hope to see as many of you on Sunday at our Changeover Lunch starting at 12 o’clock
