Last Friday night, along with PE Peter Rixon, DS Elect ands Di North, we attended the District 9675 President Meeting at Liverpool.
Some key discussion points to come out of the meeting included
- that no decision has yet been made on The Districts Rotary Youth Program.
- District Grants are now open for application from Jeremy Wright who is The District Chair. I’d like to explore this District Grant availability in the 3 remaining meetings we have in June before Change Over.
- Clubs and Club Members are encouraged to check out and browse the updated Australian Rotary Health website – it contains a wealth of resources and information.
- And on a pleasing note, DG Graham Wilson indicated that funds for the RAWCS project to repair Fiji from the recent cyclone Winston had reached $20,000!!
Finally, on behalf of Di North and myself, thank you to all those Club Members who came along to The Corrimal Rotary Club’s fantastic Annual Trivia Night last Saturday at Woonona High School.
Under the caring guidance and tutelage of Grand Trivia Master Bob Laing, The Sunrise Team came in a credible 4th amongst a top notch field of a “red hot” Trivia oficionados! I’m reliably told that only 2.5 points separated the Top 4!!
I was a fun night full of laughs, enjoyable nibblies , and Rotary camaraderie!
The club really should try and make the event a “must do” on our yearly social calendar during 2016-17 See you all Friday morning.
