President’s Report for W/E May 20th 2016
It’s a Busy time for Sunrise Rotary Club members this weekend, and if you can spare an hour or 2 on either Day, it would be greatly appreciated.
Firstly, Di North is still in need of some volunteers to assist with collecting for the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal especially in the morning sessions between 8am and 11am. If you like the smell of sizzling mouthwatering sausages, steaks and onions cooking on the Barbie, then call or email me asap –we need an extra person to assist between 9.30am and 11am at Woolworths Fairy Meadow for the monthly Community BBQ, and the big one is on Sunday , the Annual Ride 4 Rotary from 8am at Unanderra Velodrome on the Highway. The Event gets bigger and better each Year, and Rowan Huxtable and his committee are in urgent need of volunteers to assist with marshalling riders off the track and to act as ‘meeter’s and greeter’s to everyone who arrives on Sunday to either compete or spectate. Again, contact Rowan directly if you can assist.
See you all Friday morning, when our guest speakers will be Students from St Mary Star of the Sea College, passing on their experiences at the recent RYPEN weekend Conference at Cobbitty.
