On Tuesday Night , on behalf of the Club, I went along to  Wollongong Rotary Club’s Monthly working bee at the Mt Keira Summit Park. Message from Jim Christensen of West Wollongong Rotary Club

I have just delivered a large amount of bedding sheets and towels for delivery to Fiji. There is a chap who manages the “Amazing Paint Warehouse” 105 Princes Hwy, Fairy Meadow .He will collect all items for delivery to Fiji aid. Last weekend, along with Di North  and 250 other Rotarian’s, we represented the Club at the District 9675 2016 Conference at Nelson Bay. This year’s theme was ‘The Magic of Rotary’ , and over the 2 days  there were some very interesting and stimulating sessions and Keynote speakers covering topics such as fundraising, membership, recruitment,retention and Community Service Projects. Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal

Volunteers are required for the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. This year it will be held on Saturday 28th May. Once again we are collecting at the Netball Courts at Fred Finch Park, Berkeley. At least 2 volunteers are required for 2 hour shifts from 8AM to around 3PM. Our Rotary Club always does a great job with our band of enthusiastic collectors.
